This week’s editorial collage is inspired by Pantone’s colors of the year, Rose Quartz and Serenity. The perfect union of two opposites, finished in a dreamy saturation…gauzy fabrics that mimic sunrise clouds, and luminous finishes that mimic a dewy morning and a sunlit sky. Going away for the holidays? Planning your honeymoon or another romantic getaway? Already stressed about coordinating looks without hauling your entire closet for a week?
Lucky for you, lingerie-inspired fashion looks are trending up — which means packing light just got a lot easier. Selecting lingerie items that pull double as bedroom stunners, comfortable under-layers and stylish statement pieces can help you condense your packing to very little effort and maximized style.
MORNING LINGERIE STYLE
Bralettes with longline silhouettes or accents down the ribcage are perfect for pairing with breezy tops with cutouts or dresses with low armholes for an easy-going day look. We selected a pastel palette and contrasted soft, delicate silk with rough and tumble denim.
- Silk accents
- Rosy mauve beauty
- Fresh scents
- Sturdy day dress
AFTERNOON LINGERIE STYLE
Even if you’re doing a lot of walking or seeing the sights, pretty accents can femme up an otherwise utilitarian base garment like the shirtdress. Look for one in a light and breezy material, then dress up with layers of show off lace underneath. Delicate, but comfortable and practical.
- Lacy peekaboo lingerie set
- A breezy shirtdress
- A little color & shimmer for your skin
NIGHT OUT lingerie style
A little edge after dusk? We think yes. Pairing sheer layers over this flirty demi cup bralette makes it a perfect 10 for nighttime looks. Nude look layers of creamy mesh and black lace are alluring, while still covering you up. We love a sheer cami for helping us take pretty lingerie out of the bedroom and into our outfits.
- Skin-softening moisturizer
- A luxe, sheer crop cami
- Romantic scents
- Nude-look lace
- Silk choker
Edgy eyeshadows, loud leggings, and lacy lingerie — kind of hard to pull off all at once. But Halloween is the perfect opportunity to stretch your imagination and pull out all of the stops from your wardrobe.
We’ve styled some of those items that get unfairly neglected all year round for the perfect Halloween inspo. Go equal parts edgy and romantic with 80s pop, genderbend with the spiders from Mars, or dramatic, beautiful & scary with a certain forgotten fairy…

I always go for Halloween costumes that fit my favorite beauty and fashion trends — it makes it easier to assemble a look. It’s the one holiday where the lesser-seen pieces in your wardrobe — out there accessories, bold makeup looks, and pretty underthings — can finally have their moment. (When in doubt, remember that the hardcore girls just wear lingerie and some form of animal ears.)
If you think about it, models are the perfect icons for Halloween. Who better knows how to play dress up and put on a new identity for a night? This year, I’m exploring fashion editorials and candid personal style images of my favorite top model/chameleon, Kate Moss, to brainstorm ideas for the perfect Halloween costume… featuring items I already own.
From timeless beauties like Marilyn Monroe to cult classic leading ladies like Penny Lane from Almost Famous and Cher & Dionne from Clueless, famous musicians like 90s Madonna, David Bowie & even Kurt Cobain …yep, Kate Moss has emulated all of them, and they’re all perfect Halloween inspo with accessible, everyday pieces (plus those items you never get a chance to wear.)

If you haven’t noticed, harnesses are kind of having a moment. They’re not just for rock climbing and horse-back riding anymore — they’ve been reincarnated as alluring accessories for intimates. Strappy and structured, yet delicate and detail-oriented, the trend harness is a little garment with a lot of personality.
However, the lingerie trend harness can often make a look feel really “tough” or just very suggestive very quickly. Since its roots are in bondage wear and BDSM, a lot of the harnesses hitting the fashion world have been made of tough materials like leather, with thicker straps, heavy geometry, and suggestive shapes. I love that about harnesses, but as they make the transition from innerwear to outerwear, I would love to see softer interpretations as well — harness pieces that add femininity to a look, while still keeping that power balance between softness and hardness in play.

Honestly? Everyone needs a solid selection of statement jackets. You can completely transform a basic outfit just by throwing on an unusual jacket with a good silhouette or an intriguing print — or, in this case, the perfect vintage evergreen find.
I love building a look around a vintage piece. Shopping new can actually get quite old to me: the same colors, the same trends. Sometimes you find the perfect beloved piece — just the right inspiration from the past that translates timelessly to the present.
After the jump, some more photos & thoughts on evergreen style.

Summer in New York can be a bit…difficult. Take the subway? Have fun baking like an oven down there. Walking outside? You’re frying like an egg on the sidewalk. The AC in your office? Probably faulty, if it even exists. We would walk around in a bikini once it hits 85… if it were socially acceptable.
This summer, though? Things are going to be different. We’ve some game-changing designs in our wardrobe: innovative, sheer layering pieces and outerwear-friendly lingerie trends.
Here’s the secret style formula: tasteful accessories + all that sheer mesh in your wardrobe you always wonder how to style correctly + your favorite lingerie that’s too pretty to stay cooped up in your bedroom = a minimal, wearable, comfortable summer style that can handle the heat and the streets.
